Biography
Joji (real name George Kusunoki Miller) is a Japanese-Australian singer, songwriter, and record producer known for his melancholic, genre-blending music that fuses R&B, lo-fi, and alternative pop. Before his music career, he gained fame on YouTube under the personas Filthy Frank and Pink Guy, creating surreal and comedic content that developed a massive cult following. In 2017, he retired from YouTube to focus on music, signing with 88rising, a label known for promoting Asian artists in the global market. His debut album Ballads 1 (2018) and follow-ups Nectar (2020) and Smithereens (2022) earned widespread acclaim for their emotional depth, moody production, and introspective lyrics.
